Moving Onwards and Upwards (Hopefully)

It's been a super long time since I've updated this blog so here it goes. I've slowed down the job search and I'm working full-time at my Universal job. I like to call it my 'pretend' real job. What can I say, I need to pay the bills. Since I've decided to stay with the company (for how long I'm not sure) I've looked into clawing my way up the ladder. I have since become a trainer for my attraction (even though I have yet to do the "Train the Trainer" class). My first 2 trainees were current hospitality students at my almamater. Geez, I'm getting old. Right now we're starting our annual Halloween Horror Nights, which means I get a nice break from my normal attraction duties. For the next month I've sacrificed my weekend nights (working HHN @ the Bill & Ted show) for my weekend days (haven't seen those in a while). Like I said, it's a nice change so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Anyhoo, I've also moved into a new apartment. Since I graduated in May, I had to be out of UCF housing by August. So me and my 2 somewhat normal roommates went apartment hunting. We found a great gated community for the right price and moved in. It's been nice to have a place to call home again. Don't get me wrong the Rosen apartments were really nice for school housing, but with all the restrictions, "watchdogs" (a.k.a. Resident Advisers/housing staff), random roommate assignments and backwards way of handling situations we were all ready to get out of there.

I also had a chance to go out to Utah this past July. The main reason for going was to attend my friend's wedding. Unfortuately, I didn't make it to the wedding itself (long story), but I did get to see her the night before at the dance. She looked so happy, she was glowing. I also got to see Ash-lo (Ashlee Breinholt; friend from BYUH) and her new hubby. While I was in Utah I got to see Jeannie Wilbur (formerly Brown) and her beautiful family, Tiffany & Kathy Brown and my cousin Vama, his wife Angela & their 2 gorgeous girls. It was great catching up with everyone. One of the best parts of my trip was finally getting my littlest niece, Lucy, to say "Auntie Mari"! It was the best thing ever. Those nieces of mine are growing up so fast. Their constant high energy go-go-go was exhausting. I have no idea how Linsey does it day-in and day-out.

I think that pretty much catches everyone up. I've included some pics from this past months below.
