Now It Begins

Since I am starting a new phase in my life, I decided to try this whole blogging thing instead of my usual email updates.

So I finally graduated with a B.S. degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida. It's taken me 7 years, living in 3 states and a few obstacles (stupid statistics), but I finally did it. Yay me! Over those 7 years I've met some of the most amazing people, had some of the greatest experiences and made some pretty great memories.

As for my next step, I'm not really sure. I've extended my housing contract, here in Orlando, to the end of July. So I have until than to figure everything out. I've been applying for jobs like crazy over the last 4-5 months, but have yet to even get my foot in the door for an interview. So if you have any leads, please send them my way. Ideally, I'd like to stay in the Orlando area for a few years gaining experience and networking before moving out west. I'd like to eventually end up in Washington state or Oregon. I'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

Oh, I almost forgot. I'm on a softball team! I'm the catcher. We've lost all of our games so far, but we're getting way better. I even hit the ball both times at bat last game and almost got to first base both times and I caught a foul ball and got the batter out. Yay me! I definately think this is something I'm going to stick with.

Ok, so now you're pretty much caught up. I'll keep you up-to-date on the job situation and where I end up in August. I hope you all are doing well and don't forget to keep in touch.

Above are some pics from my Stuart grad party, graduation day & dinner after commencement.
